Do yourself a favour and go for the likes of Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve or others and if you still decide to go for Vegas Pro, do not pay for the software.

It crashes,glitches and lags more then ever, ever since Magix took it over from Sony! By no means a "professional" editing software.

Now on to the main topic, their product specifically Vegas Pro. Reasonable but still terrible in terms of modern customer service standards. Their support is only available via email and for those who pay for their products. Guess what these ungrateful pieces of s-h-i-t do? They reject my application! This has made me lose trust in the company BIG TIME. After all these years of selfless service to the community and free marketing for Magix, I finally decide to come around and ask to become an official Magix affiliate.

I'm responsible for driving thousands of Magix sales specifically that of Vegas Pro which are easily worth millions of dollars. I'm a youtuber named "Pro Edits" who has been making Vegas Pro tutorials for the past 5+ years. (PS: when I opened up the Reviews for Magix I was surprised to see an incredible 85% negative reviews! Maybe I shouldn't be surprised?) Time to find another company and product. And even more.on top of that, a lowly potential customer like me cannot even contact the company to tell them about it or see how it can be resolved! You need to have purchased a product first before they will allow you to contact them! How arrogant! This is often the case with very large companies - they miss out on the finer details and do not care so much when people complain as it does not affect them adversely.

So this time I uninstalled it and deleted everything I had downloaded and went to the Magix site itself and downloaded the Free Trial from them. This time it installed a little quicker but again, would not start (same message). Not to worry, this happens with large programs, so I uninstalled it and tried again. But when trying to start it up it gave the message that it could not start as it was missing some file. It took a while but it all loaded and installed successfully (or so it said).

I currently run the latest versions of Music Maker Premium, Movie Edit Pro Premium and Video Pro X each of them has, at different times, exhibited "problems" which have had me scratching my head, even tearing at my hair, but in all cases, using either the expertise of fellow-users on the forum or the knowledge of Magix' Support staff, I have been able to ultimately resolve those problems to my complete satisfaction.I was recommended the Video Editor Pro X (Magix Software) and so I went to the link to download the free trial. I'll start by admitting I've used Magix software for several years, and various versions, and I'm a moderator on their user forums so perhaps I'm a little biased! But the plethora of recent very negative comments does not in any way chime with my experiences of the company or its support.
